1. The CMOS sensors have about a one-f-stop advantage over CCD in low light.

2. Image stabilization does not reduce noise.

3. The Fujifilm F30 and F31 were "born too soon".
....The people who understood the specifications grabbed them up fast and they sold out quickly.

Then Fujifilm tried to improve the camera and totally screwed it up.
Years later Panasonic came out with the LX3 which is truly an improvement on the Fujifilm F30/31 concept.
A year later Canon came out with the G11, another improvement on the Fujifilm F30/31 concept.
The F200exr is an improvement on the F30/31 since it adds image stabilization and keeps the large sensor and lens diameter. But you have to read the User Manual closely to understand all of the new benefits it offers.

1. One with CCD sensor or CMOS ? CCD with big sensor or CMOS with smaller sensor?
2.What kind of image stabilizer helps in reduction of most noise in the picture.
3. Is there competition to the Fuji FinPix F31fd or its latest evolution 200exr.
