Which camcorder to purchase?

Nov 29, 2005 3:44AM PST

I am looking to purchase a camcorder but am so confused. I will be doing mostly home videos of family events and such. I would like to be able to upload the videos onto my computer and then burn the videos onto a disc. I have looked at purchasing a DVD camcorder however I have heard that you can only record 20 minutes on a DVD. I would like to be able to record longer than that. Any help would be greatly apprecitated.

The DVD cameras are joke!!!! MiniDV will record for 60min. Some have a EP mode and will record for 90min and the image quality is 98% of the standard speed mode. John
