Which cable can I use from iPad3 transfer movie to projector

Mar 24, 2015 3:21PM PDT

Can anyone tell me how I get an iMovie little film production I've done for my sons wedding to a projector. The girl at venue reception said I need a DVI OR VGA cable? Is this so. If not what can I do? the projector has not got newer cable outlets or Bluetooth. It looks like the back of an old video machine. I can send photos of said video to any email if needed. Thanks. The wedding is in two weeks I need help. Cheers. Jules

If you have access to a computer,

you could upload it to the cloud, from the iPad and thence to a computer.

From there you could turn it into a DVD which could be played on a regular DVD player.

Connect that to the projector and you are good to go.

It's not a matter of what's possible but what studios have mandated for years. I'll not repeat why this no longer works again. It's on the web.

Make the DVD, use a DVD player and it's done.

Then, copy to a simple USB drive. If I recall correctly, even Walgreen's did a halfway decent job transferring a friend's MP4 video file to DVD. It was in the neighborhood of $25. (No, I most certainly do NOT work for Walgreen's LOL) For refererence though, see here: http://www.walgreensdvdtransfer.com/transfer-hd-videos.htm

This would save you the headache considering a two week window. If you need assistance with uploading to cloud, feel free to ask.
