Why get a e.d.t.v in the first place, True hi-def sets are very resonable, Its like buying a pinto where you can have A caddilac for a few bucks more, Also make sure you buy a d.v.d. player with d.v.i. output, and your cable or satellit box with d.v.i. output then use your d.v.i. or h.d.m.i input on the t.v. only You can buy a Gifin d.v.i. switcher so you can toggle between d.v.d. and your hi-def tuner, The picture on my SONY 65" 3 tube rear projector looks awsome set up this way by the way I only paid $2500 for my monster thats half the price of l.c.d. d.l.p and plasma sets and the picture looks just as good, And if my 3 tubes ware out in 12 to 15 years I can replace them at a cost of $200 each. good luck stewart norrie
I would like some advice on deciding which cable box I should get from Comcast here in Denver, CO.
I just got a Panasonic TH-42PWD8UK EDTV monitor only. I should recieve my Denon AVR-2106 tomorrow.
The standard digital box has composite out and I could let the Denon AVR-2106 handle the conversion to component to the monitor.
They have an HD box that I believe has component out that I could pass through the AVR-2016.
Thoughts?
Thanks in advance,
Mark
