Whatever business you get into, just make sure the numbers work. Too many people get into the wanting to build a "better mousetrap" syndrome. Just because you can make something better does not make it profitable. Often people think inventors are entrepreneurs and that just isn't factual.

If poultry is profitable, go for it. One thing that is always profitable is education materials. The reason is simple, the cost is really in the time required to develop it which is a one time investment. For instance, writing a book takes a long time but you only have to spend that time once. Education books, videos, etc. are always big sellers. Look at p90x, carlton sheets, etc.
