Just recently installed Firefox 1.0.7. I only regret I'm still forced to keep IE on my machines because I have to work routinely with a very few sites Firefox can't support. But for most of my work, Firefox has been my choice for over a year now.
Most of the reasons I have started using FireFox is because of the loads of spyware that floats around on the Internet. Mozilla seems to be on thier game with updates and the amount of plugins that are supported by the community are awsome as well. Open source all the way.
I use the Opera browser ( version 8.5 ). I have used Opera for years. It is the fastest browser that I have ever used and the features are second to none. You can customize it and the browser itself is very very secure. No other browser loads pages as fast which makes it a must have if you want secure fast browsing on the internet. I use Opera with Verizon DSL and the combination of the two make for a great internet experience. The good news is now Opera is available for free without the ad. Trust me once you try this browser whether you have dialup, cable or dsl you will fall in love with it and all its features.
I started using FireFox the the 2nd week of Sept. I have been using Internet Explorer since 2001, but after reading and watching G4TV, I made the switch. So far firefox is stable, good pop up blocker, multi- tab feature nice, nice download manager. Hackers are just like mosquitos, they need to have the Internet to survive , get some hacker repellent and keep on surfing.
I use Firefox 1.0.6 which I like very much. I am very frustrated by "Internet Explorer only" sites, especially those that don't identify themselves as such but don't let you access certain functions.

I have used Firefox and I am just not convinced it's anymore functional than IE. Besides it's just a matter of time before it's security flaws are exposed just like Internet Explorer.
Firefox Deer Park Alpha 2. The x64 edition.
I use it because it's the only 64-bit browser.
You did not include Camino which is recommended for Mac users particularly those using the Tiger operating system. Shame on you!
It has it's short comings but works real well. I use the free verison a lot. There is a pro verison that works better but for my needs the free verison works well.

I use IE6, partly because that was supplied, and MAINLY due to lack of compatibility with other Windows components for Firefox et al. For instance, you cannot even DOWNLOAD Windows upgrades on Firefox, but you certainly can on IE.
If you have a Mac, Safari is really the only browser. It is so nicely integrated with the OS, nothing else comes close. I really like the way it screens spam; can't remember the last itme I had one get through. I use version 2.0.
I'm Mac/dual platform and much prefer Safari over Internet Explorer for all the Macis' usual preferences. Nice integration with OS, makes IE clunky in comparison, with fewer pop ups and not the preponderance of cluttering ads. I toy a bit with other browsers, but feel the Mac side must overwhelming use Safari. It's true, occasionally feature buttons of MS created sites won't open, but we prefer our much cleaner environment ande ease of use.
Firefox 1.0.7 is what I have been using. The only problem I am having is the status bar seems to be saying that I am still loading forever. It only happens at My Yahoo. It says "transfering data from us.lrd.yahoo.com" yet I'm sure the page has downloaded everything.
FirefoxIE is optimized to be faster than a native install of Mozilla Firefox and has been debugged more thoroughly.
Security for this release passed with 0 problems when tested at:
http://bcheck.scanit.be/bcheck/index.php
Results can be seen at http://www.firefoxie.net/securitytest.html
A bookmark has been included in FirefoxIE to test your own copy and to verify
the results for yourself. Does your browser pass the test?

About 2 years ago I installed Eudora and relegated Explorer to a standby position. Before doing so, I had a number of security issues. I continue to use the latest version of Eudora, not because I know for a fact it is more secure but because I've had no problems since.
Avant is much faster than IE or other browsers. The only problem I have found is that it sometimes won't show certain images and links, particularly when you go to www.flyi.com. When that occurs, I switch to Firefox.
Which is basically a feature rich version of IE, and it too is constantly being updated when needed. Love the tab features within it.
Hello all, i dont actually use any of the above browsers, i use Deepnet instead. Check it out, www.deepnetexplorer.com
Ive been using Firefox for almost 2 years. I can maximize my dial up connection speed with this browser compared to IE which is slow in loading the web pages.
Id like to try any other browsers and the messages posted here is very helpful in deciding which ones i would try or probably shift to.
Netscape is a soild browser that first came out with a tabb browser and is not a major target for hackers. It's has a simple interface which is great.
I use Firefox and regular Mozilla the most. I have less plugins installed on Mozilla so I use that for my more cavalier surfing. Firefox for pages I trust. If the website insists on IE, I have Avant for that.
