Maxthon is the best!!
Sep 27, 2005 12:05PM PDT

This browser is the best I have ever used. It is easy, fast and you can still use all your own bookmarks from IE. It also has tabbed browsing like Firefox. Maxthon is the greatest!

I also use Maxthon and have been since it was released. The tab feature is great and the Sidebar is really handy, especially the RSS feed.

Maxthon - the best
Sep 28, 2005 1:32AM PDT

Maxthon is simply the best browser available.
I'm a developer and have spent much time with them all and without a doubt Maxthon is the best.

More secure, faster, great plug-ins and I could go on and on...

It's always about Mozilla vs IE so those guys get the press and the serious attention of news reporting sites and testers but if they turned their attention to Maxthon they would be blown away.

Maxthon does use the IE engine but contains additional security features.

Try it, you'll be glad: http://www.maxthon.com/

Maxthon rocks!!!

I started having a lot of trouble with IE6 and went hunting for another browser. I tried Netscape, Firefox, Avant Browser and I even have AOL... but Maxthon is now my browser of choice, fast, slim and very easy to use! THANKS GUYS!

Other--Mozilla 1.7.12
Sep 27, 2005 10:54AM PDT

This all in one browser seeems to be easier to maintain, and gets all the security updates that are common to it and Firefox. And--it doesn't automatically install or run nasty OCXes or executable attachments, like IE.

I have used Netscape or variants since the beginning in preference to anything else including IE. IE is sucn a security risk that it should only be used for the few things where an alternate might suffice like doing your OS and application updates from M$.
. I like Mozilla because it isn't burdened by all the baggage that AOL/Netscape hangs on it - an the Moz has nothing to do with AOL (the ISP of spammers, morons and other assorted ne'er do wells) is a big plus to me.

I use 22 different browsers
Sep 27, 2005 10:55AM PDT

I like trying alot of different browsers. I use Roboform so I stick mostly with the browsers that use that. I dont care to much for Opera. I like Avant, netcaptor, slimbrowser and Maxthon . I use IE6.0 and firefox alot. I also use Mozilla 1.7.12. But that one like netscape 8.0 give to many warnings you have to click on to go to the next screen. I have other off the wall browsers that are fun to play around with like Phaseout,Fastbrowser,Crazy browser and Acoo. I also use AOL. I have more also and always looking. although I use all of these the ones I use the most are IE6 and Firefox equally. I like them both.

here is another for ya
Sep 27, 2005 11:06AM PDT

I used a browser that used a 3-d type layout so that you could browse faster but tabs worked better. It was called browse3d. Kinda neet but not for full time.

22 Browsers
Sep 27, 2005 1:19PM PDT

I consider myself a browserholic - I love trying different browsers. But I only have 11 of them. 22! Wow! I'll have to try some of your recomendations.
I mostly use Avant and I really like Maxthon and Greenbrowser. Have you ever tried E2? I like it but nobody ever mentions it.
For the last few weeks I've been using Netscape 8.0. The latest update seems to have fixed all the bugs.
I've been using Firefox since before it was Firefox but on my system it's just slow as crap! I tried all the pipeling tricks but it's just slow! I always wind up back at an IE shell.

Go to Roboform page
Sep 27, 2005 4:34PM PDT

Hi I found most of the browsers on the roboform web site. It tells you on the browser link which ones it works with and which not. That is where i found all the names of the different browsers. I did try Greenbrowser but it would not work? I never saw E2 I will look for it thanks.

IE7 Beta is pretty sweet
Sep 28, 2005 5:27AM PDT

I must agree that IE 7 took me awhile to get used to but I am finding it much easier to use than either Firefox or Opera. I have tried all 3 just to see which one has the best features for me and I am certainly looking forward to the release of IE 7 for Windows XP.

Have both IE and Firefox. Only use Firefox 1.0.
Find it totally reliable and clean.

My Opinion
Sep 27, 2005 11:05AM PDT

Why do I use Firefox? Whether or not I think it's safer isn't based on my empirical evidence; I listened to IT folks' newsletters and adopted it. Thus far, I love it!

I appreciate knowing Firefox is now declared highly vulnerable, but will continue to rely on experts' guidance about whether to stay with it or not. So far, I've had no problems with it.

Updates are pretty regular and developed when a problem is identified. And Mozilla doesn't have red tape to contend with to obtain downloads.

Tired of waiting
Sep 27, 2005 11:12PM PDT

That was just great!!!

I hate waiting for 15 minutes everytime that I want to run the windows Update, and that's just for the Windows verification portion. That doesn't include the scan for updates that takes another ten.

It just seems funny to me that Windows with a file list of downloaded updates that it could take so long to find out which downloads you have already done.

But no personal information is being sent to Microsoft

In reply to which browser do you use
Sep 27, 2005 11:07AM PDT

Call me a diehard but I still believe in Internet Explorer. Presently I use version 6 and can't wait to check out version 7. I am also just dying to get my hands on Windows Vista, which should be Microsoft's finest yet.

Personally, I think you're a little crazy waiting for IE 7, and Windows Vista sounds like something that should be watched from a distance.

(Pun intended)

Can you say, "MOUSE GESTURES"? I say, OPERA!!!
Sep 27, 2005 11:11AM PDT

I've been using the free version of Opera for years, even with the banner it makes surfing much more pleasant than any other browser out there. And now they've eliminated the banner completely! The only time I don't use it is when web developers don't make a website compatable, then I switch to Firefox, and as a last resort IE6. Once you start using the mouse gestures that to my knowledge only Opera has, you'll hate having to search for the fwd, back, and new page/tab buttons. Plus I like the way you can customize it and get lots of different skins to appeal to most anyone. For all of you out there who were turned off by Opera's ad banner, give it a try now, you won't be disappointed. And NO, I don't work for Opera, I'm a telephone repairman in West Texas! Go Red Raiders!!!!

Maxthon Browser

I use the Maxthon brower and I love it - especially the tabbed pages. No more going back and forth to see a web page - just click on the page you want.
