Question

Which app to use for hiding your personal stuff?

Sep 17, 2015 9:18AM PDT

I want an app which can allow me to protect all my personal photos and videos. Also I want advanced protections and advanced ways to unlock it. Any one knows any such app?

Let's drag up CIQ since this is Android.

Since then it really never went away but was buried deeper and in some phones, deep inside the OS. And let's cover that anything you send over the interenet or phone is inherently insecure. For example the LAVABIT fiasco revealed so much about why I wrote that.

If you want secure stuff, you don't put it on your phone or internet connected PC. It's that simple.

Answer
I copy them onto external HDDs and NEVER encrypt.

Why? Mostly because my stuff is on my own PC and HDD. Since I maintain physical security plus I've seen folk lose content and entire drives over bitlocker, folder lock, and other titles we know this can result in loss.

In spite of this you see folk trying such over and over, FORGETTING that all important backup copy without the encryption.

So let's talk about the issue if you were trying to password protect content from your government. I think the 5 dollar wrench image covers that.
