What criteria are you measuring here. XP runs just fine on such CPUs. Can you tell more?

Ive been told that the quad 4 sometimes confuses xp

Microsoft made the decision that CPU support was by socket, not by core, something that extends across their product line from XP Home through Windows Server 2003 and beyond.

You may want to research this more.
