Question

Which 120mm case fans is recommended?

by mynamesjeff / June 20, 2015 7:39 AM PDT

Hi guys I'm new here and I need a little help.
I'm looking for 120mm case fans with green LEDs to match up my H440 Razer build, but only a few selection is available to get in my country, and here is the list:
Cougar Dual-X 1200rpm
Corsair SP120 LED (Dual Pack, not PWM) 1650rpm
Cooler Master Sickleflow 2000rpm
Enermax Apollish 2000rpm
NZXT FZ-120 (Sleeved Cable) 1200rpm
Xigmatek CLF-F1253 1500rpm
Aerocool 12cm Shark Fan 1500rpm
Thermaltake Thunderblade 12cm 2000rpm
Thermaltake Luna 12cm 1200rpm

If any of you know some of the fans on the list, which of those are good enough to cool the system? I'm not really bothered by the noise level that much, so temps are my primary goal here.
Thanks in advance Grin

Answer
I never buy fans with LEDs.

A fan with LED tells me the maker is not focused on making a fan that does what a fan needs to do. I guess there are folk that didn't know that.

All the makes you listed have been around a while. I'd pick any that had no LED, bonus to ones with ball bearings and PWM compatible.

Need them to light up my PC
by mynamesjeff / June 20, 2015 8:08 AM PDT

I'm agree with you, but apparently my system is just so dark inside because of the smoked panel on the chassis. I can't see anything through the window, so I hope those LEDs will light it up a little bit. Anyway thanks for your response, I appreciate it Happy

Required lights inside the case to work. If I did want to light em up, I think I'd just install light strips.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
