WHERE TO HOOK-UP ANTENNA LINE?

May 14, 2006 12:27PM PDT

HAVE HEARD SEVERAL PEOPLE SAY THEY CAN PICK UP HD WITH A RABBIT EAR ANTENNA. WHERE DOES ONE HOOK IT UP TO? DOES IT TAKE GO INTO THE CABLE SLOT OR SOMEWHERE ELSE? I JUST GOT A 42" SCEPTRE LCD AND JUST WANTED TO
TRY THE ANTENNA AND DON'T KNOW WHERE TO PUT IT.WOULD THE ANTENNA TAKE THE PLACE OF THE CABLE SLOT ON THE SET? I REALLY KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THIS AND AM TRYING TO LEARN.
THANKS, MARILYN55

One thing to note about an HD antennas
May 14, 2006 1:46PM PDT

If you have an HDTV-ready set (sometimes called an HDTV monitor), you'll need to pick up an HD receiver to go with your antenna to be able to view HD content over the air.

If you have a true HDTV television (with tuner), all you'll need is the antenna.

HOW TO HOOK-UP ANTENNA TO HDTV
May 25, 2006 1:04PM PDT

I have an HDTV with external tuner on a new 42" Sceptre LCD. If I use an over the air antenna, where and how do I connect it. Do I put it into the slot for my cable with a splitter or does it take the place of the cable line? That makes know sense to me. I don't see anything on the back of the set where the antenna would plug into. Appreciate any clue as to what to do.
