Where to find Bar code scanners for add-ons for ipaq/pocket pc?

by omied / February 24, 2004 3:04 PM PST

Hi. I'm a used car dealer, and at the dealer auctions, I've seen a few other dealers open the door of the car, scan the bar code/vin # in the door jamb, and this automatically puts the vehicles information in the blue book program on the pocket pc.

I was wondering where can I find this attatchment?

"I was wondering where can I find this attatchment?"

Where do I start? It's not an attachment, but a "system." Here's why.

The scanner goes into the SD card slot. Not all PPC (pocket pc) models do what is called SDIO. This means nothing but headaches for people who want to add a scanner like you ask or a WiFi card. So the vendor of the SOFTWARE only supports specific models of the PPC and hardware.

Find the software and read the specifics of what they offer and support.

Oh, I see. The software is basically the KBB software, so I will contact them and ask.

Thanks for the reply

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
