Where to buy in Washington, DC?

Nov 28, 2005 1:14AM PST

Call me old fashioned, but I like to touch things before I buy them (especially when those things will cost me >$1000...)

Does anyone know of any stores in the DC area with a solid camcorder and accessory selection? I'm looking for something with more models (and knowledge) than Best Buy, without having to go up to New York for a trip to B&H.

Any suggestions? Thanks....

I don't really care about the pricing in the store, as I will probably land up ordering online. This is primarily for comparing a few different camcorders and accessories in my hand as opposed to on the screen.

Your post is a great insight to why...

Brick and mortor has such troubles. Even if they had the model you wanted to see, you won't buy it. The retailers must focus on what sells best and eject what isn't moving well. You end up with not much on display.

Not your fault, but your post just highlights why it's that way.
