Where's my Windows Moviemaker?

by DepthGlyph / December 16, 2007 3:53 AM PST

I recently wiped the drive and reinstalled windows xp on my comp. I used to have that simple video editor windows movie maker. However now I don't any more apparently. Now I know what you're thinking - "it's included with service pack 2."

However I already downloaded service pack 2. Automatic updates is on and everything. But still no windows movie maker in my list of program files.

Do you have to somehow find it and manually install it or something? they say on the microsoft site that its "available with service pack 2" then don't say anything more about it, except that your automatic updates has to be on and how to get sp2. Anyway all I want is to get windows movie maker.

thanks a lot,
DepthGlyph

DepthGlyph, Try a File Search for moviemk.exe
Maybe the shortcut which should be in your Start>Programs>Accessories menu is just missing.

Thanks man, you solved it. I didn't realize it was in the acessories, but its there. seems like before it was just in the general programs list. Coolness be upon you for years to come.

One of the best French door fridges we've tested

A good-looking fridge with useful features like an auto-filling water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It was a near-flawless performer in our cooling tests.
