where's my volume control

just got a replacement computer. xp pro/sp3.

there is no sound,,, and there is no volume icon in the taskbar. run > msconfig > startup HAS NO SYSTRAY

advice please,,,,thx

XP doesn't come with all that.

I'm left to guess you did your research about SNDVOL32 and the speaker icon "show in tray" setting. This area is well discussed so I'll wait to see what you've read so far.
