Where is that bar now??

Oct 14, 2007 10:17AM PDT

Hi all,

I had a very useful bar at the bottom of every window, but it dissapeared now.

I'm not talking about the status bar, I'm talking about a bar in the bottom of every window in which you can see a thumbnail of a selected file and some properties like size and other details; it will even allow you to edit mp3 tags directly.
I dont know the name of this bar, but it doesnt show up anymore. I searched in folder options but I wasn't able to find the way to recover it.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot.

Just go Organize->Layout->Details Pane to restore it. Happy

Is not there.

Hi John,

I already look in there, but like I said, it looks like the option just disappeared, the only available options are PREVIEW PANE and NAVIGATION PANE.

I tried changing to aero and to vista basic back and forth but no matter what I do, the option doesnt show up.

Any other idea?

Thanks

open any explorer windows (my docs, my computer etc.)

press the 'alt' key on your keyboard, you will see the: File Edit View... menus appear, click 'View' and then 'Status Bar'... enjoy Happy

No, that's not what I mean.
Like I said in the first posting, I'm not talking about the status bar, I'm talking about the bar that John pointed in his post, but it doesn't show up.

Thanks anyway.

I solved it.

Ok guys,

I solved the problem. I was thinking what programs or changes I installed in the computer recently and I realized that TuneUp Utilities was the last program I installed.
I uninstalled the program and the Details Pane came back to life.

Thanks.
