OK here is my set up I have an old Pioneer VSK-D811S Amp set to 6.1 Iam feeding optical audio input from my DENON 2900 and Dish 811 Sat system Klipsh 5.5 main Klipsh Accadmy center Atlantic technogoly sourounds and Cerwin Vega Sat6 in the rear with a Infintity 250 watt 15" sub My problem is The sound is not envolving also The souround speakers are almost not heard. Using the test tone I have set the front speakers to -3 db and the rears to +10 db. The reason I ask you pros. is that when I listen to newer souround amps The effect is that Iam part of the movie the sound is involving The amp seems to be working ok. I think MY amp should be replaced? Also no mater what I set the settings at the sound Is flat or way to much bass The Sub seems to distort and the front klipsh speakers sound quacky In closing I havent upgraded to the sony hs51 yet my old 3 ton Sony still looks "O" so good another hint I have owned this pioneer for about 7 years and it was a cheepie I only paid $$375 for it good luck to you hi-def junkies
