Question

Where is "File Management utility listing"?

Apr 23, 2015 9:35AM PDT

During installation of a external hard drive I was told to check in "File Management utility listing" if the hard drive I was installing was listed there. I checked in the Control Panel but I could not find it. Has anybody any idea where and how I can find :File Management utility listing"?

Never heard of such.

Maybe it's someone's idea of a file explorer. In Windows that's called "Explorer." In really old versions it was http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Manager_%28Windows%29

Now there is a Disk Management tool which one might use to partition and format a new drive but you wrote "File."

Answer
I am guessing you won't find it.

What's your reason for finding the "file management utility listing"? However, you should be able to see your harddrive under "disk management" or "file explorer".
