Resolved Question

Where has my Artwork gone ?

Sep 17, 2014 6:39AM PDT

Many of mine and my wife's CDs I have uploaded do not show the original artwork, not even when I click "Get Album Artwork".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

To start with, CDs don't contain artwork

Will try that, but one question.

Thanks will try that when I get my new printer scanner.

One question, if I put artwork on an item in my main section of itunes, will that show the same artwork on the items I have moved to the libraries VicsMusic and BrendasMusic or will I have to do them seperate also.

Sorry

I rarely move items so why not try one move and see?

Why wait for a scanner? Almost every CD today could have suitable artwork somewhere on the web. That is, except for some folk that have exacting ideas what the artwork should be.

Yeh that worked

I searched the web for the CDs that did not show the Artwork. Mainly found these on the Amazon site, and as you suggested I did not have to scan my CDs and upload, just clicked on copy Artwork then put it on the one on itunes.

I also noted that having put Artwork on the missing ones, they also appeared on in the Libraries Ive set up.

Many thanks for your help.

Or so I thought

Having completed the task, or so I thought, this morning I returned to my itunes, and those I dealt with have all disappeared. Nightmare.

How can I upload them so they stay on there.

Thanks

Sounds like something else is in play.

http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20121202224009563 notes many things but I did trip over a Glary user that was cleaning their PC and in the process cleaning that artwork cache.

Then we have iTunes match. But as I can't guess what's up or what is on this computer, I'll toss out ideas along with the old nod to why we backup.

Everyday users will use app cleaners, optimizers, and such without connecting their computer problems to these or security apps.

So it's something but the complexity of the apps are sometimes haunting.
