Question

Where does iTunes save iPhone Movies?

Apr 21, 2011 4:09AM PDT

I'm trying to get a big movie off my iPhone 3GS. I synced it to my laptop, but can't find either photos or movies on the laptop. It's too big to email, how do I get it out?

It can vary but...

Videos should also be stored in the iTunes Folder as specified under Edit->Preferences->Advanced.
Check there.

If not, google up iRip.

get synced to iTunes.
I believe that the only things that move from the iPhone to iTunes, during a sync, are;
Contacts, iCal, Purchased Apps and Purchased music.

If you launch iPhoto and import all the photo's and movies from the iPhone, they will go into iPhoto. (if the movie was created on the iPhone)

If the movie was not created on the phone, it should already be in iTunes as that would be how it got on the phone in the first place

Bob's suggestion of iRip may do the movie move for you

Turns out they are not managed by iTunes at all. You have to open iPhoto to transfer pictures & videos from your phone to your computer.
