Just checking the websites brings up a question.
Neither tells you where they are located.
No street address
No state
No country.
RED FLAG
.........
A little digging lets me see that both mail order locations are in New York.
Another RED FLAG
.......
The T-3 is not being marketed in the United States.
Another RED FLAG
......
So what are these websites selling?
If they actually have the camera it will be "grey market" and the websites are not authorized Sony dealers.
If you should have warranty issues, a grey market camera would have to be shipped back to Europe or Asia for repairs.
...............
Now to the question of why isn't Sony marketing these cameras in the USA.
A reported problem........Sony is currently having quality control problems with some of its small cameras. Dust is entering the cameras during factory assembly.
A T3 possibility.......Sony is delaying delivery until a quality control problem is eliminated.
..........
GAH! I'm here waitig patienty for the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC T-3 to hit stores in the US (Hawaii for me at least) and now i hear that Sony has decided to stop selling it to use because the T-1 has a longer life-expectancy!?!? what Bu....... ...i have searched and found out that these two online stores, Broadway Photo (bwayphoto.com) and A & M Photo World (amphotoworld.com) are selling the T-3 for 475$ and 459$ respectively. Does anyone know the credibility of these websites? or if anyone knows a truly trustable website that sells this camera that would be cool too.
