where can i find an audio equalizer guide?

I want to tweak my audio equalizer, but I dont know how to do it right. Does anyone know of a place that can teach me?

What equalizer? Why tweak? What do you consider 'right' and what do you consider 'wrong'?

I've found two camps on this.

1. The purists.

That is, it must sound just like you were there during the recording.

2. The realists.

It sounds fine. I'll take it.


The problem with the purists as I see it is where did you sit? In the front row, off center, or elsehwere? Every location at the performance can yield a different experience.
