The legality of downloading a lot of these games would be questionable however. Even though it's unlikely that the company that made them is making any money off of them any longer, they are still covered by copyrights for insanely long periods of time.

You could probably find loads of these things on ebay. Like all the classic Doom's, and the first two Quake's. That's where I'd look personally. For a relatively small amount of money, you could probably come away with a large number of classic games.

Some questions...
by John.Wilkinson / January 1, 2007 7:07 AM PST

First, categories can vary widely from first-person shooters to role-playing to educational children's games, so is there anything in particular that you are looking for?

Second, can you tell us a little bit more about your computer, such as the operating system and amount of RAM? The processor indicates the selection will be limited from the start, but those two bits of information could further restrict the selection.

Finally, are you looking for freeware games, trials, or games you can still purchase?

Let us know.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
