Question

whenevr I try to download something (pdf), my computer keeps

Mar 27, 2017 5:15PM PDT
whenever I try to download something (pdf)/document, etc. my computer starts opening new tabs, one after the other, but I never get the download. Has anyone had this problem? What did you do to fix it. I thought it might be a virus, but I ran several scans and nothing came up.

I tried that, it made no difference.I'm wondering if it could be a problem with windows 10, or with firefox.

I tried all the information you gave me. Fully scanned my computer, etc. (although I already had malwarebytes installed.) but it still did not solve my problem. I would like to uninstall windows 10 and then reinstall, but I can't find any information on how to do that.

Re: problem with Firefox

That's easy to check, by downloading the same pdf from the same page in Internet Explorer and Edge, two browsers that came with Windows 10. My guess is that those will work.

To use this method while you fix Firefox seems easier than reinstalling Windows.

problem with firefox

Thank you so much! I opened internet explorer (which I never use because I heard it had so many problems)and downloaded a pdf and it worked! I haven't had a chance to try Microsoft edge yet. So the problem is with Firefox, not windows 10. I guess I will uninstall Firefox, then reinstall it and see if I can download without problems. If not, I will just use IE for all my downloads. Thank you again, I never would have thought to try using a different browser.

Your problems will likely continue. RESET Firefox. How is on the web.
