General discussion

When will it be safe in Iraq?

May 22, 2006 9:35AM PDT

Surprise visit to Iraq

Are there any other kind or visits?

Every politician makes a surprise/unannounced visit.

Won't be "safe" until they can announce a week in advance that a high ranking politician is arriving.

I used the word "progress"...
May 22, 2006 11:17PM PDT

is that not what yu were referring to? Do youreally think I meant "progress in increase American deaths?"

Or are you asking what trolling is?

Then what WERE you referring to, re:progress?
May 22, 2006 11:45PM PDT

I'm sure you know exactly what trolling is.

re; progress

imo the current adm uses progress as a noun which gives iraq a 'positive' impression.

imo progress in war is a verb; not 'positive'

trolling is a word used often in se to indicate: I have no answer, deploy 'trolling' offensive.

Nice dodge; won't wash...

You made absolutley no mention of the Administration using the word progress, yet I used that word in a post preceding yours. QED.

Trolling is something you do very often. "I have no answer" is BS since I DID have an answer

Pretty clear what you're doing.

the politicians stop trying to run the war (they did this to VietNam as well), and let the military do what they have been trained to do in the first place without interference and second guessing and Monday nite quarterbacking. We have a military for a reason....and it's why it's a separate entity from all the other departments of Government. They really DO know what needs to be done and could do it more efficiently and quickly and economically if the politicians would stop tying one hand behind their backs all the time.

part of the problem is shown here in SE
people with no knowledge call/write there politicians and complain and whats a politician just a person who prostitutes thereself for money, power.
they do supposedly what they are told to do

What do you mean?

I don't know who you think you are
May 23, 2006 8:36AM PDT

but you must not know ME very well because I very rarely refuse to post back in a thread when somebody asks me to clarify something. I happen to have a life that doesn't call for me to sit here and refresh the SE forum every ten seconds like SOME of you.

Now...would you care to get something to drink while you choke on your uncalled for statement?

I want to see how the politicians are running the war. Looks alot like to me the MILITARY is doing it and a damn fine job

The politicians are running it
May 23, 2006 8:33AM PDT

in the media back home just like they did with VietNam....they back pedal, give wrong/bad advice regarding how the military should be waging/battling, make 'enemy aiding' comments publicly, and literally put pressure on the military by making sure the press is reminded nearly every day how bad things are in Iraq (as an "I told you so") and very, very rarely give credit to all of the good accomplishments that have taken place and continue to do so. They have tried, unsuccessfully fortunately, to demoralize the very men and women who are putting their lives on the line for Iraq. I strongly suspect that more would be done, and more quickly, to bring down the insurgents if the politicians could just finally, down to every single man and woman in office, would finally get behind our troops publicly and shut up about everything else. It happens here in SE consistently with some members and it happens with the same policians just as consistently. We are at war and it should be dealt with as a war and not as a stepping stone for political ambitions and agendas. Full support publicly goes a long way to getting the job done more efficiently, faster, and with great pride in that accomplishment........negativity slows things down considerably no matter what job you have to do, so why would it be any different with warriors? If you hire somebody to do a job, you have faith in their ability to get that job done...you don't run that employee into the ground and expect to get the results you want.

I think you are wrong,

The doom and gloom leftie/leftover hippie/hippie wannabes are NOT controling the war. If they were, we wouldn't be there now and it would be a complete cluster flop (which it ain't)

When this obtains:

Hag 2:9 The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, saith Jehovah of hosts; and in this place will I give peace, saith Jehovah of hosts.

But not this:
1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
