Question

When will 4K TV's and Media become main stream?

Dec 26, 2014 9:40AM PST

Hey guys, I'm sure that you've heard this questions many times in 2013/14. I'm just another guy that doesn't know that much about TV's and its not really my interest to know about them so I'm at Cnet. Getting to the details not only when will it be affordable?! But when will TV stations like CNN and Nick or DVDs and Game consoles like the One and 4 support this new tech? The reason I ask is I am in my 20s and I am really considering getting a 4K tv in about 4-5 years from now, maybe less if I can get or save the money. I have already seen a HUGE decline in the prices of 4K tvs but is it worth it now? and will it be worth it in the next 3-5 years when I want to get one? Thanks and hope I can get some answers!

Answer
I don't think it's an affordability issue.

I think it's more like...is it worth the extra cash to me. According to Cnet, the answer is no. Personally if I needed a tv, I probably would buy one.

Answer
Consumers will buy it but those that look into it, may not.
