When opening a new window in IE browser, the new window opens but picks up the information of the previous window

Mar 13, 2004 7:19PM PST

OPerating Windows 98SE and IE6.

When I try to go to a link from a page in IE browser, the new window opens but seems to pick up the information from the last window. I can freely move the new window about, but cannot get any new information on it. Help please!

This is the standard behaviour for File/New window (although I don't understand what you mean with 'move about'), but definitely not for clicking on a link of for right click/open in new window. And of course, you should be able to do anything you want in the new window.

Start with:
- Config Panel/Add Remove to repair IE
- uninstall all pop-up-blockers and the like
- run all 5 of Bob's Anti-Parasite Suite (see http://reviews.cnet.com/5208-6618-0.html?forumID=6&threadID=15370&messageID=172455)

Post back if this doesn't help.
