Many Sony F828 users are wondering the same thing.
There is a problem with the high end cameras like the Sony F828, Canon Pro-1 and Olympus 8080.
All of these cameras use the 8 megapixel sensor made by Sony.
Their price bracket has been invaded by DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras. There will be fewer customers for the non-DSLR cameras.
It is going to take something special before a newer non-DSLR cammera appears in that price range.
I have heard that Sony is working on a small 11 megapixel sensor. That could breath new life into the high end non-DSLR cameras. There is nothing quite like a megapixel race.

I have been hearing that Sony is looking to replace the DSC-F828 fairly soon.
When might that be, and what is the latest on the name?
I have read speculation that it would be called the 939 and would roll Q4.
Thanks
