Question

When I connect to internet my window's blows out

Oct 15, 2018 4:05PM PDT

I have a laptop HP Elitebook 8 gb ram i5 6th generation, I'm using windows 10 pro from october 2018, each time I connect to internet (Lan or wifi), in almost an hour, windows starts going crazy, it gets really slow, starts to deleting programs, deletes the password, the mouse doesn't work and then is imposible to do anything, so I have to reinstall windows. First I thought it was the hdd, and a bought a new one, and still does the same thing. Interesting thing is that when I don't connect it to internet it works perfectly ok. So I don't really know what to do, is very weird. I appreciate any help, thanks.

Answer
Is The Version Of Windows 10 The Original Version from HP?
Oct 15, 2018 4:34PM PDT

Or have you installed a version of Windows 10 which you downloaded from a torrent? Some of those torrent versions have all sorts of junk/malware in them. Go back to the original version from HP.

If the operating install and all other drivers and programs are those that came from HP, then try visiting the HP website and download/install any updates for your system. Sometimes, patches are released to fix various bugs in their systems.

If that doesn't work, then it's time to use our warranty.

Hope this helps.

That Explains It..

The Insider Program is basically for those who like tinkering with "beta" stuff. They're not ready for prime time. In order to get the original recovery disk from HP, you'll need to contact HP at their website and request the disk. It's usually not very expensive but it will cost something.

One other option, depending on how you tried to install the new OS, HP usually has a recovery partition which will format the current C: drive and reinstall everything back to factory condition. But that partition is there ONLY if you didn't wipe the drive when installing the new OS. If the recovery partition is still there, you'll need to check the HP site for instructions on how to start it up. Generally, it's pressing F10, or F11 at startup, then following the prompts to install everything back to factory.

Hope this helps.

That's for those that want to find out what's broken.
