Question

whatsapp freezing on IOS 9?

Oct 11, 2015 1:01PM PDT

Anybody is facing issues with whatsapp after updating to IOS 9 and especially 9.02? I have iPhone 6S and whatsapp is HELL with me. It always freezes and can't type and keeps connecting eventhough there is internet. Is it only me or it's an issue with the IOS or from whatsapp or what?

Are you keeping your pad all nice and clean? That is, I find folk fill the pads memory up and strangeness follows. Google seems to say it's only your pad today.

What do you mean nice and clean?

It's an iPhone 6S so it's new and I have a lot of free space too

Nice and clean.

Such as free space (check!) and not filled with 99 apps. Also, nothing jailbroken etc.

There is https://www.whatsapp.com/contact/ to let them know something's up.

Whatsapp depends on connections or it may appear to lockup. I had a long discussion with a friend which we went over that a few times. They were new to networking and more. So to demo apps locking up we had them run up the app then power off the WiFi router. Some apps stopped responding. Now while I understand this, imagine most consumers.

I have around 22GB free out of 55GB ( 64GB iPhone) and it's all good and nothing jailbreak at all.

Such issues are happening with me only with Whatsapp and over 3G and Wifi and I am traveling now so I tried Whatsapp in 2 countries and same issue. It's not a connection issue at all

Then keep asking.

And be sure to keep after Whatsapp. It's their app and it has been reported to appear to lockup in iOS since the app rolled out. Here I can sniff out the network issues but you are traveling so you can run afoul of new fun networks.

Are you aware of the usual iOS forget all networks dance?
