Question

What's wrong with a hdd that makes click sound every second

Im not sure if it because i opened the drive(silly mistake) or

the faulty cable that i used when using the drive as an external(this also fried another drive)

when i try to boot the drive my computer says"please instal a os on your drive" and when i do so the drive is not detected.when i use the drive as an external it is not detected.it spins but makes a clicking sound every second

no...you were just curious. But this is curiosity is going to cost you some money, sorry. But for the fun of it, you might try to fix it.
