Whats up with all this digital media rights garbage

by browmaster / November 16, 2005 11:25 AM PST

Personaly I am getting to the point that I just HATE for the Recording Industry and the Artists that they back. What a bunch of garbage they are pulling. First they shut down Napster and anything that was like it. Then they start going after people that download songs from Kazza these were people that weren't getting any money from the songs. Pretty soon you will need the CD just to play it on an MP3 player just to verify you have the CD. It wasn't such a big deal to play it on the radio. in fact they wanted it on the radio... They never went after the people who recorded from the radio...

watch it will be soon that they will find a way to charge you to copy from a CD that you own (because they can't verify you own it)... and if you don't pay it won't play
Microsoft is in on this too windows media player checks to see if songs are legit. if it can't verify you have rights it will not play the song...

Say good bye to the artist that performed for the sake of the music and because people enjoyed listening. it all about how to get more money out of the consumers...

I would gladly pay for a CD of good music even for a good concert but when they start the nickel and dime garbage they have gone too far... I supose we don't realy own the CD just the rights to play it from the CD... so you don't realy own the MP3 just the rights to play it on one MP3 player...

Soon there will be a revolution just like the open source software revolution. the Real music will be open source...

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
