It sounds like the drive is not doing well. Although the "bad blocks" (corrupted data sectors) might be a major thing, since it appears like there's only one "bad block", you might attempt to restart in Safe Mode, then run Chkdsk using the command below:

Start > Run > cmd > chkdsk /F

On a large hard disk, this could take A LONG TIME to run.

If that doesn't help...You might also attempt to reformat the hard drive, then reinstall the operating system and programs. Remember though..even if you get it up and running correctly, the drive probably doesn't have too long to live.

In my opinion though....At the price of new hard drives now, it might be easier and cheaper to simply install a new one.
