Question

What's the response time of a TV with a 120hz

Aug 14, 2015 10:20AM PDT

I've been looking for a good TV for a while now and I found a good TV, I'm going to be using the TV for gaming on my Xbox one. The TV is the Samsung Model: UN40J6200AFXZA I was looking for the response time but it only says 120 refresh rate, does anyone know what the response time is?

The refresh rate input is still 60. Widely discussed but if you are new to this you may be put off by how that works.

Answer
I think input lag is a much higher number. But

But let's get you a response time. The number is simple math.

The response time is accepted as the time from full on to 50% off. For 120Hz panels this is a simple math of 1 second / 120 / 2 or about 4.2 milliseconds.

Input lag wasn't easy to find with https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&as_q=UN40J6200AFXZA+input+lag

"Input Lag: 44.5 ms
With Interpolation: 58.3 ms
Outside Game Mode: 65.6 ms

Under game mode and PC mode, the input lag is 44.5ms, which is average. It is not really noticeable."

Hope this helps.
