whats the name of the program to remove pre service 1 files

Disk Cleanup may be it, but I would not sure what "pre service 1" files are. Perhaps you mean "Service Pack 1 installation files?"

sorry it didnt fit in the title but disk cleanup doesnt seem to get as much as the former program i had.

Try Ccleaner its a free program and works very well at cleaning out files, fixing registry, etc. Its free unless you care to donate to the author..

I remember a command that I typed into the console that deleted all of the obsolete drivers and other files.

Open the Command Prompt and type vsp1cln.exe (short for Vista SP1 Cleaner)
