What's the fastest connection to use for gaming?

I'm trying to game in a room far away from my modem and I need help deciding the best way to extend my internet connection for fast speeds and low latency. I've heard about using wireless wifi adapters, power-line adapters, MoCA adapters, and even just using a really long ethernet cable. My home was built in 2018 which could possibly be good for powerline adapters, but the room might be on a different circuit than the room with the modem. Any ideas?
