whats the fastest BR Player?

Oct 21, 2008 6:33AM PDT

Greetings!
I was in the store during the weekend and asked the sales person to load up a BR disk. By the time it started had nearly fallen asleep on their couch! That was a Sony BRP. He said that was faster than the Pioneer.
Wow!

What's the fastest that you know of?
Kind regards

Startup times from the bluray player shootout I had linked before here. However, note that some players tested are now superceded. I would fully expect new models just arrived to be quicker.

But, FWIW, from disc inserted to video on display:

Sony PS3 = 35 secs
Panasonic BD-50 = 43 secs
Samsung BDP-1500 = 45 secs
Sony BDP-S350 = 46 secs
Pioneer 05FD = 50 secs
Pioneer 51FD = 50 secs

Thank you very much for your replies.

I live in Australia. Which Blue-ray player will play all 'region br disks'. I will probably want to purchase disks from overseas.

Thx
