Whats the best 'Toshiba' for me?

Oct 13, 2005 10:01PM PDT

Hi Everyone!

I have modest kind of a Desktop with:

1. Celeron A 1.8GHz
2. 512 MB DDR SDRAM
3. 80GB Samsung 7200rpm
4. Nvidia GForce FX-5200
5. Sony CD-ROM
6. Sony DVD/CR-RW
7. 17" Dell Monitor

I am planning to buy a Toshiba and intend to use it for Home (mainly for Games & Movies with some Text Editing and some Movie Editing and Pictures),

Can anyone help me in deciding which Toshiba is the best for me?

Thankx,

Adios.

In excess of $1500. Try the Toshiba Qosimo (sp?) line with dedicated graphics cards.

F25 and G25 are very strong notebooks.the cost of the f25 is around $1700.the G25 ranges from 2600 to 3000 grand.ive owned the G25 for a few months now and it has been flawless.it,s best to get hands on with these notebooks before you buy.they cost alot of money f,sure.
good luck

NONE!
I have a Tecra S1 that was purchased new in Sept 2003. It has since gone through 3 hard drives and a motherboard! Toshiba refuses to replace but will repair since I bought an extended warranty. In my opinion Toshiba have started to build crap!

sounds like you got a bad tecra.in the notebook world there are many makers of notebooks and there are bad apples in the bunch.I think this memeber is leaning more for a qosmio.
good luck with your tecra ltuplin. as fare as junk....take a look at the notebook ratings.toshiba gets a great rating for notebooks/customer care.ive been in your shoes with Sony,hp,and dell and i have felt your headackes.
