Whats the best smallest and lightest camcorder?

Dec 24, 2005 2:29PM PST

Hi,

Been looking at the canon DC-20 and the JVC EverioG GZ-MG50 as one of the smallest cams in the market these days.

Thanks for any suggestions on the best camcorder

cameras are concerned? My take on the best small camera would have do be the Sony HDV Handycam 1080i which runs about $1,900. It's fairly small, but takes HDV video.

smallest and lightest...

I chose the Canon DC-20 and got a great package price w/ a company I'd not previously used.
www.wawadigital.com

When I ordered (by phone) a salesperson named Mike let me know all of the available options and awesome deals. As part of the package, I got the extended life battery, rapid charger, 3 piece lens-filter kit, 3 DVD-R's, extended warranty, & case...FOR A LITTLE LESS THAN BEST-BUY WANTED FOR THE CAMERA!!!

I previously had some other camcorders...Sony Digital Hi-8 and a Canon Optura mini-dv...but this DC-20 is smaller...lighter...and with the finalization of the disc...I can slam the DVD into my player and let the family/friends check out the footage...
(can even record in widescreen for max viewing on our widescreen TV!)

Thumbs-Up for the Canon DC-20!

my EXPERIENCE
Dec 29, 2005 2:51AM PST

AFTER ordering from them I'd read some horror postings... THANKFULLY, everything they've done everything they said they'd do...and have even shipped the backorder items (which I just received).

So...some of what I've read...TERRIBLE...

What I've EXPERIENCED...EXCELLENT!

I realize many have had terrible experiences with various online stores...OR even local stores.
...but ultimately I only know my own experience.

Once again...the Canon DC-20 ROCKS!!!
