It's likely a Sony single CCD minidv cam would fit the bill if you don't require HD. But I honestly don't know the specific performance/lux tolerance/max distance of their 'night vision' mode(s). You would have to go to a site dealing with that type of videography specfically, or to a site with very comprehensive reviews. Believe it or not sometimes amazon.com has some very informative review by customers, if you can weed through all the cess <vbg>.
i am looking at buying a camcorder for shooting some external/ internal night stuff. i want to use natural street lighting at night time.
this is just some experimental stuff i am into so i am looking at spending around $1000. much more would be pushing it.
it doesnt have to be HD. sd would be fine. and i am guessing a single large ccd would be best. i am looking over the net but i cant find anything.
does such a thing exist. i don't want night vision or to use any external lights. also dodgy auto focus seems to be a problem with the consumer cameras, any kind of manual controls would be great.
is there a camera like this or am i just asking for an expensive camera for less money?
anyone have any ideas?
