What video transfer method will give the best picture?

Dec 9, 2010 12:33AM PST

I have a Canon Vixia HF S21. I downloaded the software onto my comp and transfered from internal flash drive on the camcorder to my comp. The picture is respectable on my 60 inch HDTV. I have my comp hooked up to my big screen via HDMI. I then hooked my camcorder directly up to my HDTV via HDMI and noticed the picture was definitely better.
So that leads me to ask: which would deliver a higher quality picture on my HDTV?
Would it be to record with the
1. The internal drive in the camcorder
2. A SD memory card
3. A SDHC memory card
4. A SDXC memory card
And to transfer:

2. The comp via one of the memory cards and then burn a bluray
3. Other
I am thinking that burning a bluray disk will be the best way of archiving.
Any help would be appreciated.
