I want an upgrade but i dont which is gonna be more worth.
The options are:
-Change the cpu (i7-4770S 5 years old) and also mobo and ram.
-Change the Gpu ( gtx 970 2 years old)

The CPU should be fine with almost any game today. Give it 16GB ram (dual channel) and done.
The HDD's need to move to SSD.
The GPU is fine on most games at 1080p.
I have the 16 gb ram dual channel and an M2 SSD
So i know that it is fine but if u could change something what would it be first?
Most games are not CPU bound. So the only place to go up is the GPU. So let's check out the 970 versus the 1070.

Most games were over 60 FPS already. This won't help "lag" but may make it smoother. For lag, you get wired to your router and don't share the Internet.
