Also, be sure to "re-set" all your browsers. First, get rid of all cookies and addons in the browsers. Then reset them The reset process will eliminate all the logons and such and will take the browser back to its initial state. Since you've not told us which browser you're using, you can Google that term for your browser and you'll see the steps to take. For example, on Internet Explorer, open the Control Panel, double click on "Internet Options", then select the 'Advanced' tab and click on the "Reset:" button.
Of course, it's also required that you use a GOOD password with at least 8 characters which include letters, numbers, and other characters such as dashes, both capital and un-capitalized letters, and other non-alphanumeric items.
Hope this helps.

When trying to access Facebook the other day I got an alert that my account was locked. Someone tried to login from an iPhone in Russia. It had me reset my password and everything was good. Being nervous that my PC might be compromised a few days later I logged in to a different account from the same PC and browser I used before. Sure enough the next morning that account was locked with a Russian login attempt. However, logging in with the new password from the first account didn't result in that one being tried again. So it seems that I have something compromised in my computer. I'm currently running a virus scan with Avast and planning to restore to a date from a month or two ago. Anyone have any other advice for things I can do to help restore some peace of mind with using this computer?
