I get $1,000 from my employer towards a new PC or laptop, or even a tablet if I wish. I currently have a laptop and desktop, but both could use some upgrading. I wanted to know everyone's thoughts on what I should purchase. I like the idea of a tablet, but feel that I might be better off getting a new touchscreen desktop. Or should I just upgrade my laptop. Please share your thoughts! Thanks in advance.

What kinds of uses
by Jimmy Greystone / October 31, 2011 10:44 PM PDT

What kinds of uses are you planning for whatever device you get?

Also, I would just take a minute to really think through the idea of a touch screen desktop. Think about where a desktop would likely be situated relative to where you would be sitting, and then having to reach up every time you want to do something. Plus there's the fact that AFAIK, only Sony and HP make those... HP tends to make complete garbage IMO, and Sony makes Apple look like a low price brand, without really having quality to match.

For business you'll need a laptop so you can use it at work, on the road or at home. You can get a very nice one for $1,000 dollars. Forget a tablet, the novelty will wear off.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
