What time of year are most new models introduced?

Hey,

I'd like to purchase a T2i Canon and am wondering,
1. When are new models released during the year?
2. Do previous models typically drop in price?
3. Will Canon introduce a new T?i or no?

Everyone is waiting and saying the T3i/600D will be introduced soon.
One person that claims to have an inside track says announcement is Feb 7 in London.
(18meg,, swivel LCD).
But Canon has been one of the best at keeping a secret.
so, I have many doubts that he has an inside track.

When a camera hits the stores, you can usually find some bargains on the older model.
The brick and mortar stores usually try to empty their shelves prior to the new model.
So, watch you local stores for a sale price on the older camera model.

Camera introductions usually accompany any big electronic show.
Most common is the first and middle of the year.
But Canon marches to a different drummer.
