Particularly, the new Sony KDS-R60XBR-1! Yowza! I have read nothing but great things about this TV and it will only be a matter of time before I make it mine!

There are a very few on the list that I would want. I have chosen an MP3 player of which I'd take a discman (any brand but Sony). Nothing heavier than that. A digital camera would be my next choice. Never a cellphone: I am an all-year-round slave of that devilish gadget and would only take mine if driving within Argentina or spending those holidays across the River Plate in Punta del Este (a seaside posh resort in Uruguay, some 350 miles off Buenos Aires) and only to call the Automobile Club in case of emergency. Should I need to check my e-mails I'd go to a cyber bar, therefore there's no need for a PC, or laptop or palm. The lighter the luggage the better. Taking a TV or a DVD player or both is unthinkable. Perhaps I'd also take a bunny for my girlfriend to play with, lol, but that's not on your list...

Top of my list for Christmas is a Sharp 26" HDTV AQUOS Liquid Crystal Television with built-in HDTV tuner for my bedroom. I already have all the rest on the list.

Quad G5 PowerMac with top of the line options, including the 16 Gigs of RAM..../drools
hook it up with some raids, Maya unlimited, Studio 8, 2 30 inchers, a final cut, all that stuff. And i would have of course it be the quad.
For more than one Christmas, this has been my desire.... I sort of put it off as I do other tech buying: PDA and foldable Bluetooth keyboard (almost a Mini mini mini laptop); updated desktop (wow, did I notice difference in performance); a mp3 player (keeps me company when I don't wish to talk to anyone/or anyone doesn't wish to talk to me.
But there is the need ever so often for a laptop. So Santa, mark this on your list. I bought potholders (silicon) I asked for (and didn't receive last year); I buy my own clothes and my daughter's; I problably need a new car but could care less. So what is left: only a laptop.
kinda related; a new electronic paintball gun....but if that doesnt count, probably a nice 40-44" hdtv.
I would like a 15" Dual Core Pentium-M Powerbook with a 256mb PCI-EX Nvidia 7800go and at least 8 hours of battery life as a Christmas present.
I wouldn't mind if the clock speeds on these cores was around 1.6ghz seeing as the Pentium-M is lightning fast.
I saw the camcorder of my dreams. JVC has a new model that writes to a 20 or 30 Mb hard drive. Plus has up to 25X. No more limited SD chip or slow DVD disc.
I don't know anything else about it yet, but the drawbacks cant be too bad.
Why did it take so long to figure this out?
I just spotted this neat new camcorder myself. On the features I noticed it does still photos but did not give details so I began to pursue info on the still photo capability. What I discovered is the pixel resolution (varies by model) is just not enough (1 to 2 Mpixel) to be a true combo camera and camcorder for me. I am going to wait until there is a higher pixel version.
A new lap top, an alienware MJ-M77001 with 200gb hd and 2 gig of ram - I do mechanical design using high end software at home and have to talk with clients and vendors - this machine would support my software and could stop using my desktop

I want a Dell Pocket DJ, but I probably won't get one anyway. I have an Aiptek DV4500 (Just go to aiptek.com and look on the main site for it it will be there) It is a digital still and video camera (supports SD/MMC card up to 512MB) MP3 player, and voice recorder.
I need one to hold all of my simpsons, family guy, south park, ect. eppisodes with out taking up my 30 gigs that i have left. That or an ipod.
