Resolved Question

What SSD should I buy?

Feb 17, 2016 9:57AM PST

The hard drive on my Macbook Pro recently crashed and now I need to buy a new drive. I decided I would take advantage of the situation and upgrade to an SSD. However, I'm not sure where to start.

My computer: Macbook Pro 2010, 15", 2,5" area for hard drive.
Budget: between $75-$130

I included this in the "general" laptop discussion as per my research, it sounds as if any SSD that fits the 2.5" can be used in my laptop. Also, the newest thread with this title is in 2010, so I am open to any suggestions or advice, thank you.

Just yesterday I picked up a 480GB SSD for under 120.

Even the Apple noted used off the shelf standard drives. If you worry, then head to macsales. For me I'd just look for those under 130 dollar SSDs.
