What Sony could compare to Samsung 650?

I am seriously thinking about purchasing the Samsung 650 (46"), but when I was at the store today one of the sales persons said that Sony's Z series was better. Any opinions about this? I am not interested in internet through TV or any woofers, just a good picture.

IMO the 650 is a better TV. I'm curious why he thought the Z was better? The Z is a good TV but the fact its $400 more retail than the 650 makes me run to the 650. See the CNET reviews of both TV's.
