What software to be able to sync slides to beat of music?

Nov 11, 2005 9:05PM PST

I can't believe I'm having such a hard time finding an answer to this question...

All I want to do is select about 100 different photos, add an audio track, and make the photos transition to the beat of the music. Ideally, I would like to be able to click my mouse, or hit the spacebar, or SOMETHING, in time to the music to indicate when I would like for the slides to change.

In VideoWave 7 I've seen how to determine the duration of each slide, but doing that individually is EXTREMELY tedious. I just need to play the song, and tap along with the beat to make the slides transition Each slide wouldn't necessarily be the same duration... i.e. there might be a section of the song where the slides would transition much faster or slower...

If VideoWave can't do this, is there a package that can? I'm desperate!

The title is the name of a neat little program you can download and buy very inexpensively that will give you the beat of the music. You click or tap the spacebar as the music plays. Perhaps from there you could set the slide interval to multiples of the beat?
