I have a 21 inch Apple plasma and I love it. It hardly takes up any room on my desk. I had a large 17 inch monitor and it took up so much room I didn't even have a place to write or use my Wacom Intutos tablet when I was working in Photoshop. I recommend them very highly.
I have a StarLogic 17" LCD that I have had for 11 months. I only paid $199. I was taking a chance, but have not regreted it. I will never use anything but flatscreens.
I only wish I could find a way to "fine tune" it. Can't find their website or any information on the net about this monitor. So if anyone has info, please let me know:

Thanks
I love it as it takes up less space on my computer table however I can not understand why some web pages do not fill the entire screen. Looks a little odd that
it only uses ? of the viewing area.
Also I would like to be able to set the text fonts a little larger for me to be able to see but for some reason it states I have them on the largest and they are only about 8 pt.
Any advise here!!!

Hi everyone,
For the past 3 years I've been using a 17 in. hp pavilion mx70 CRT model. I know I should take it back to the museum where it belongs.
Regards,
DP
I bought my 19 " Samsung about 2-3 years ago and it is very good, but I could do without the rotating feature. This allows me to set the screen as "portrait" instead of "landscape ".
It's big as a blue whale, but it's nice. I run it at 1600x1200 with no trouble at all, even for my old eyes.
I paid about $1,000 for it years ago but I see them off-lease now for under $50. I want a good LCD someday, as this thing is so massive it makes the earth's orbit wobble.
Started with one 21" Hitachi that I have had for 5 years now. Great monitor, but weighs in at 60#. Added a new video card with dual outputs and got the first 17" LCD. After one week, retired my 21" Hitachi and got a second 17" LCD.
Only good monitors Are Nec,Samsung,Mitsubishi and sony! Word has it that Viewsonic pruchases CRT'S and LCD's that do not meet the specs of other companies.
I use a 15 in. NEC accusync LCD and a 15 in. Sony Trinitron in a dual monitor configuration.
I use a ViewSonic 19 inch CRT monitor on my main computer. I also have a KDS 17 inch CRT for my inoperable Linux machine, which I hope to have running as soon as I get the motherboard replaced.
More important than anything is brand/ IMHO ViewSonic is the only way to fly.
I have seen plenty of out-of-focus, irregular colors on friends monitors.......but my little baby delivers perfectly in every concept.
Very satisfied, particulary with the ability to physically turn the screen from landscape to portrait which is in use most of the time.
Maybe you should also ask how many have dual monitors...I have dual 19" screen instead of a larger single screen.
I use 2 screens, a Benq 791 LCD and a Samsung Syncmaster 753DFX both in 1280x1024 and it is great to have 2 windows side by side, it makes things really easy when doing work/assignments. Sometimes it is difficult to go back to 1 screen ![]()
I've had dual monitors (both 19" at 1280x1024) set up for about a year now, and I couldn't go back to a single. In fact, I'm now wishing I had the triple monitor video card installed.
Paid way too much when I bought it. Prices dropped around $800.00 within a few months of purchase. It works great when working on two projects at a time.
Excellent for games....sometimes too big. Makes you dizzy during very active games.
Wouldn't trade it for the world though !!
I'm using a Dell 1905FP LCD, a 19 inch unit. I usually run it at 1024 X 1280 (Portrait) for Internet and word processing, and 1280 X 1024 (Landscape) for other apps. At my age I have cranked up the DPI to 125%, which I also did on my old 17" CRT running 1024 X 768.
I have a 19" Viewsonic VX910 which I run at 1280 x 1024. The monitor has been totally trouble free and I am very happy with it.
. . . and very happy with it. I purchased through Newegg.com. Still waiting for the rebates, but monitor is great no bad pixels and Newegg was very easy to deal with.
My budget dictated I buy a cheapie when my old one went south. I got a MAG Innovision 770FS on sale and it is about the most unclear monitor I've ever seen.
All of my kids' and grandkids' monitors put mine to shame and even though my model has about every on-screen adjustment possible I can't adjust it to be clear.
I can't afford to dump it as long as it works, but it is a pain to continue with the fuzzy text on this critter.
Yeah, I've checked the whole Internet for a solution with no success. I guess it's just a second rate model which never should have been put on the market.
Maybe Santa Claus will... ![]()
